F1-EAD- GC: Need Help ASAP

My wife is currently on EAD (optional practical training thru F1) and will be expiring soon in next 2-3 months. I have applied my citizenship a month ago. I never applied for her GC.. I was thinking that after I get my citizenship then I will apply for her GC. What should I do.. should I send her to India after her practical training expires and apply for CP or is there any way I can adjust her status in US without getting her out-of-status..

please help..
 
CP seems to be the only legal thing to do

under the circumstances , at least until approval of your citizenship.
However you can file her adjustment of status (485) and file for EAD (based on the 485 app)and AP and she need not go out of US. If you do it within a week (medicals, photo etc.) you can beat the 3 month deadline. Since your wife is already here I believe that the date of your GC approval does not matter. Consult a lawyer.

Thanks for the information. What is this 3 month deadline? I can\'t apply for ger I-485 until I get my citizenship. Can you please provide me the details ?
