Hi,
I have an EAD card and my i-485 is pending. Currently, I have not renewed my H1B and also the my Advance Parole document has expired. I have to leave the country to go to India due to a family emergency. I read about the emergency advance parole where we have to take a letter from the doctor in India, my Date of birth certificate, completed and signed I-131 and all the supporting document to the Milwaukee USCIS office. This info is in the USCIS official website under "Emergency Travel".
But, the immigration officer said they do not do this and I have to apply for a new H1B to travel outside the country.
What should I do? Has anyone received an emergency Advance Parole document recently?
