EAD Renewal Question

Hi,

I applied for EAD and Advanced parole when I was applying for 485 last year.
My Current EAD expires in september this year.

I have not used EAD nor advanced parole till date and do not wish to do so in the near future.
Currently I am on H1B which is till 2010.

If I dont renew my EAD and advanced parole and save some money as I am not using it and in the future(after EAD expires), the need arises for EAD(Assuming that I want to work on EAD), will it be a problem to renew the EAD?

In other words, do we need continous renewal of EAD and no gap in expiration? or we can have gaps in EAD renewals?
I havent used/activated EAD till now.

Please advise.

EAD is a privilege offered to I-485 applicants. It is not a requirement. You are not required to have one and having a gap will not be a problem.

Save your $$. Apply for EAD/AP as and when needed, making sure you apply sufficiently in advance.
