Hi,
Congrats.I would like to know whether you filed it in regular mail or E-file.If filed through mail what are the documents you submitted.Did you submit any color copies.I would appreciate your reply.

Paper filed. Sent the following docs:

1. 4 photos each (applied for AP as well)
2. Checks addressed to USCIS
3. Completed 765/131 forms
4. Copy of 140 approval
5. Copies of 485/EAD/AP receipts (me and spouse)
6. Copies of EAD/AP approvals (me and spouse)
7. Color copies of first/last, visa page and I-94 from passport (me and spouse)
8. Color copies of EAD card - front and back (me and spouse)
9. Color copy of Driver's license (me and spouse)
 
Did you attach a document for Section 7 for I131?

"On a separate sheet(s) of paper, please explain how you qualify for an advance parole document and what circumstances warrant
issuance of advance parole. Include copies of any documents you wish considered. (See instructions.)"

We did not attach any explanations. Wrote something like "AP required for multiple short visits outside the country, while AOS is pending".

Note that our AP has not been approved yet.

What are the validity dates for new EAD ? Is it valid from the expiration date of your last EAD ?

My EAD was renewed without any gap in validity for employment authorization i.e. the new EAD starts from the expiry of the current EAD.

However, my wife's EAD was renewed with a gap of 3 months.

current EAD expires on 03/03/04 and
new EAD valid from 06/04/04.

The expiry date is 03/03/05. So I am thinking that the "valid from" date was a typo.

Anybody had any similar experiences. How does one rectify the problem.
 
My 3rd EAD case status got updated (online and AVM) today 12/29/03. Thank god I was waiting desperately as I took an offer from another company and will be starting soon.
