EAD Approved Aug14 and AP plan

My 2nd EAD:
ND: May7,2003
AD: Aug14, 2003 (Online msg, waiting for the card now)

My 1st EAD Expired on Aug10,2003.

I applied Interim EAD on Aug6,2003 in Denver Local BCIS office on the same day (in about 3 hours). But the interim card have only 3 month validity.

Suggestion: Definitely apply EAD renewal at least 4 month before expiry,

I am holding the Canadian PR too. I am planning to go Canada by the end of this year. So I am planning for applying Advance Parole. Is it even slower than EAD?

If I cannot get it by the end of this year, I'd rather wait for my GC approved some time next year before go to Canada to exchange my Canada Maple card. Because after 12/31/2003, I need apply speical doc in Canada consulate in order to be back without maple card like my case.

AP approval seems to be pretty quick these days. My wife's AP extension ND was June 16 and AP was issued on Aug 08. We received it on Aug 15. My ND is July 01 but I haven't gotten it yet. Not so fortunate when it comes to I-485. RD Sep 01, 2 RFEs and still waiting...

Wife's extension AP started from Aug 08, a day after the first one expired. Someone in Nebraska was awake!
