I am a US citizen originally came from China. I got my US passport 15 years ago and even got a 10-year visa to China from China embassy a couple of years ago. Just a couple of weeks ago, I asked a friend if my China visa was still valid during Covid 19 pandemic. He mentioned that China claimed that all people born in China would remain their China citizenship unless you explicitly announce that you give it up. I am confused. Does it mean that I can renew my China passport? So, why did they give me a visa? My friend said that this law is fairly new. None of the embassy numbers works, so I could not verify it. Does anyone know?
