Does online case status change upon 485 approval

I-485 filed 9/14/06
case tranfered to local office for interview
done with interview---was told name check pending!!
 
Mostly it is update in online system

I have gone through interview, retrogression and then approval process for EB-3 application. Normally, after the approval, the file is transferred to CSC for further processing, and at that stage LUDs start showing up. However, in a few exception, there was no update in online status but the approval letter and GCs land up in the mail box.

I'm actually the one who stuck with approval without my status being updated, not only on USCIS website, but anywhere else:e.g. neither SS office, nor DMV can see my status changed. So, i'm approd, have temp. I-551, which means nothing as when it comes to checking on my status - i'm not a LPR.:confused:
