Do We Need Transit Visa If We Travel To India Via Dubai By Emirates Airlines

What about Transit in UK?
Hi, I would be travelling thru UK in Dec 05 and probably would have AP by then (am waiting, processing date on NBC is past my Notice date, but nothing yet) Neways I also have a valid student visa until 2007 and OPT card valid until May 2006, and UK visa website says that if u have valid visa for the country FROM u r travelling its fine, but it also says if u r holding an AP then u need Transit Visa, so technically my visa arent valid after i applied for AOS but can I use that for Transit from UK? Any suggestions inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
