Do I still have a chance?

Hello,

When I am Just about filing I-140, I was told that my employer was not able to support for my 8th-year H1B and GC due to the financial difficulty. This company has only one employee, who is me.

My H1-B will expire Feb. 2007. Is there any way I can stay in the U.S.?

Does anybody have an idea?

Thank you.

Does that mean your employer will fire you. Can you file both I-140 and I485, if so, you can still stay here under I-485 pending.

Waiting for my H1 expiration

Hi,

Thank you for replying me. She didn't say "fire me", but it is obvious she is waiting for the day my H1B will expire---it's only four months and t's like a torture.

My lawyer said if I could find another employer who is willing to support my H1B before my current H1B expires, I could extend my visa one more year. He also advised me that I ask a new employer to start PERM during the first six months into the job. If it would be approved, I could go to "Adjustment" straight.

I think there are some people in the similar situation like mine. Please do not discourage yourself. I cannot lose my heart.

Thank you.
