Are the processed together? If not, is family based I-485 processed faster than EB I-485? How long does it generally take?

Do Family-based I-485 and Employment based I-485 have the same processing time?

for some one who has been a member for so long, you should be able to search that answer very easily..
Employment based 485 are of 3 types, EB1, eB2 and EB3 and they have a very different time line compared to family based Category..
Family based 485 is filled in the Local office which is different from National Center like Vermont, Texas etc..
Normally Family based 485 get approved btw 3 months to 1 year depending upton where it was filled. For ex in LA it takes 3 months, Nj 8 months and NY 2.5 yrs.. Your receipt should give you the timeline or you can research in this forum for your town...
