Different DOB on Passport and VISA

my mother's B2 expired in 2014 along with her passport.
She had hand written passport which had the USA visa stamp on it. This old passport stated complete date of birth. 01/08/yyyy

The new passport she made is machine readable, and because she only had yyyy on her NADRA id they put 01/01/YYYY which is different than what she had on her old passport.

The US consulate in Karachi stamp the new VISA recently on her passport which is using 01/08/YYYY DOB which she wrote on DS-160.

Now when she was booking the airline ticket, the airline said she might face problem while boarding becasue she have 2 different DOB.

01/08/YYYY on her VISA and 01/01/YYYY on her passport.

only the difference is on the DAY.
the year and month is same.

Could this 7 day difference on DOB make any difficulty for her departure in US and go back to PK.

The airline or CBP could rightfully question her.
Suggest she request that the document with the incorrect dob be changed, prior to travel. Why is that not an option?

- no amendment allowed on machine readable passport, so she has to apply for a new passport.
- if old passport is not required then visa not valid on old passport, she need to get the stamp on new passport somehow.
- in this case, does she needs to apply for new visa or just request for the stamp?
what is the process to do that.

Unexpired, valid visa on an old passport is still good. Carry both passports together.
