What is the difference or differences between I-140 and I485 ??

The 140 is the form employers use to petition for a full time employee and the 485 form is the adjustment of status form one files after they get the 140 approved.

Filing them at the same time to expediate things can backfire if the 140 gets denied because the 485 reveals " immigrant intent ". This would make one ineligible to get another TN if that is your status....
