I am getting ready to file for citizenship and was curious if I should provide proof of financial support of my spouse who lives in my home county waiting for her immigrant visa to be approved, so she can join me. Instructions for filing N400 (Document checklist section) states you should provide financial proof that you supported your "dependent spouse" if he/she does not live with you. Does anyone know what the term "dependent spouse" mean as far as filling N400 ?.
