Delayed Fingerprint & Address change

I Changed my address on September after filing 485 on August 10th. We updated AR11 for me and my wife Sep10. I got confirmation for address change and subsequently I got receipt for AP&EAD( before getting receipt I got my orginal AP&EAD card from USPS mail forwarding). I got my 485 receipt only Dec-10-07. So it took four months to get the finger print notice and it was dated Nov 10th. I went to New Rochelle ASC and no issues at all ( not just because they allowed me :) ). No Crowd, no issues, within 10 min I came out finishing finger print. Today Dec 13 my LUD also updated. The people over there are really good and treated the applicant proper manner as opposed to some mentioning they mistreat generally( even the IO we called in 800 not having enough info and experience otherwise they are answering properly).

But we are still waiting for my wife finger print notice(only 485 we applied), and she has not got any confirmation for sept. address change. But now last week we opened a SR and she got a letter stating you missed finger print and we saw your address changed and we will send new appointment. Keeping finger crossed.

Just a note:
The ASC experience will be different based on the security who is assigned that day may be. I went on Wednesday as i saw people saying that day is amnesty day and they will allow everybody but I am not sure.

Hope this may help somebody who are in same situation.

Thanks for keeping us posted. It's helpful.
Now we really worry. We didn't change our address since the filing of I-485.
However, I never did the AR11 form though. Will that be a problem? Now I hesitate to fill out the AR11 since I changed my address long time ago before I filed for GC. My spouse did the AR11 every time we moved. But he didn't get any FP notice either. It's a puzzle to me.

There are different opinion on this AR11 and updating address on your filled cases ( 485 , 140, AP, EAD ) . The address change is two step process on is AR11 then your cases.

For some people receipt, FP everything went to Attorney, in that case changing is not 100% important for GC, but as a legal ground All Aliens ( H1 Visa etc...) must to do this. Online you can do, which takes few min.

After address change: they send a confirmation to your new address saying we received address change request... If you are not getting that letter means the usual USCIS saga is working ( Expect Unexpected ).... So call them and update again...
