Critical Marriage issue.. Gurus pls help

Hi,

 I am a bachelor and recently received 140 approval..
I am planning to get married by the end of this year(2002) or next year. So not sure about marriage date/time and am planning to apply for CP
   
Q) If I apply for CP and get approval before marriage, what is the process to get wife to US (not through H1/F1). Has anybody gone through this process of getting wife based on one\'s own green card. How risky/time consuming is this process.
 
 Any help in solving this critical problem is appreciated.
 
Several years

You need to marry before you re-enter the country in order to be able to get your spouse in a reasonable time frame. Otherwise, it will take you several years before you can get her here. You could get your citizenship 5 years after you get your green card. Thereafter, your spouse would be able to enter the country quickly.
 
do AOS now and convert to CP after marriage

Guru\'s need to comment if this idea is feasible.
