Hi,
I appeared for an immigrant visa interview for an approved I-140 petition. The consular officer was happy with my case ( he said so), but asked me to submit some more documents (travel itineary for journey back to US, an invitation letter from the employer in addition to employment letter). I am told by the consular post office that my case has been put on administrative processing. I am told that my file is now at a CIS. Its been 4 weeks since I had my interview. Anybody has ideas on how long will it be before I hear back???
I did not have a H1 stamp on my passport. Since I need to get back soon, can I apply for a H1 stamp with a green card application pending???
any help will be highly appreciated
