I need some good advise!
I am currently on a J1 (2 year home residency rule does not apply/I am German citizen) which expires in August 2013. My employer and I would like to apply for a H1B (for German teacher).
I was wondering if it is possible to stay in the US until I get my H1B in October. Maybe on a B2? My concern is wether there is a conflict in timeline....
Has anybody experience with change of status to B2 while H1B application is pending? Or is there another legal way to stay until I receive my H1B?
BTW what exactly is the difference between COS (Change of status) and consular processing? I heard chances are better with a COS to get H1 approved.
