Guys,

I have contacted my local senator (Pete Sessions), and have asked them to contact CIS to find out why my case has not been approved.

My RD is sept 26, 2001. The lady that talked to me was not very cooperative, actually i would say she was rude with me. She took all my information and said they will contact CIS.

Today i called again since it has been already two weeks, and she said that it can take up to 30 days to get a response. I hope she is not contacting the useless national phone line with an inquiry, that will get the standard response "Case pending, wait 30-60 days"

What do you guys think?

Response in less than 3hrs

Senator Specter office in PA got me an answer in less than 3hrs...
I didn't like the asnwer but, they did show good initiative ...

as i didnt like the response ...

I did contact another senator, and finally got a response back

CIS responded your case assigned on Aug 8th to IIO, please allow 30-45 days.

I have heard this before, so it does not impress me. It gives me the ability to call back the senator after the 45th day, and request another follow up.

Not much, but ibetter than the National useless line.
