Gurus, Simple question:-

Should we write the current job title under "Your Occupation" instead of “IT” considering if someone got promoted few years back with a Manager title?

Thanks

Write what makes sense/is plain English. I'd bet money USCIS doesn't care what your title is. For example, one would put "lawyer", not "associate" or "partner" or "counsel".

In my opinion "IT" isn't an occupation. It's a field or subject area, where occupations are, for example, "programmer" or "systems analyst". However, if all you do is manage other people and there isn't a more descriptive word for what you do...maybe put "Manager (Information Technology)"?

Be as honest and accurate as you can but all in all if your unsure don't worry about it to much... it isn't reviewed that closely to matter
