Chicago Transfer Cases

FP Expiring !!!

Hi all,

Our Finger printing was done in Dec 2001 and i guess
finger print expires after 15 months !!!

Can anyone, whose case got Transferred to Local
Chicago office tell me that:

Do they ask you to redo the finger printing before
the Interviews or the older finger prints are valid ??

My Details are

RD: 07/01
ND: 09/01
FP: 12/01
TD: 09/02

IJ
(** I hope this finger printing doesn't delay the Processing
of case anymore)

Re: FP Expiring !!!

I will really appreciate any info on this matter !!

Thanks

IJ

I did FP on 10/2001, the FP is expiring and I am still waiting for the interview call. I am not going to worry about until I get interview call. Is there any update regarding chicago processing time? Around one months back, chicago INS is processing case before 03/2001 as I posted before.

what are chances of being transferred?

Before filling with NSC I had a pending petition with Chicago office which I later withdrew. What are the chances I might get transferred from NSC to Chi? Employer sponsored, single.

Does anyone of you know what date is currently being processes at Chicago?

I am RD 9/13/2001 and am still awaiting interview call.

New Week

New Week and New month, lets hope to see any progress
with Chicago Cases.

Lately there hasn't been any +ve development in Chicago
transferred cases or Any post regarding Interview experience
with Chicago office

And Regarding the Processing times, refer to my earlier post
where i mentioned that I got a (INS) forwarded letter from
Congressman's office saying that they are processing April'01 Cases !!!

Guys, any updates???

This thread has the highest hit count but no body post anything new.

Slow, slow slow.....

coz everyone's waiting with their fingers crossed

my wife's and mine
RD 8-2001
ND 9-2001
FP 12-2001
TD 9-2002

Finally got fed up with everything and used AC21 to change job in 3/2003....still waiting...

From all I could tell (congressmen, other forums, and personal friends) BCIS Chicago is at May 2001 cases. We are planning to head on to the BCIS office next week possibly to have a personal chat with someone to figure out how long will it take for us to get something, interview call, etc.

I will post any update in this thread.

Good Luck

interview call rcvd...but??

After a long wait, on April 4th we rcvd. call for interview for my wife for May 21. But till date I have not rcvd call for my interview. Since I am the primary applicant, how would her interview proceed?? Any comments/suggestions?

Moreover, my FP also expired but no letter for second FP for me?

I am really confused about local INS's "scheduling"!!

Our case (me and my wifes's) was transfered to chicago office. Details:

RD (Nebraska): July 2001

Finger Prinitng: Dec 2001

RFE dates: August 2002 (Bithdates, Employment)

Transfer Date: October 2002

We have not heard anything from local office yet!

Really frustrating to wait for 6+ years in this GC process.

If I were you, I would contact my local congressman right away. This kind of issues can be resolved by them rather expeditiously.

Re: interview call rcvd...but??

Wow, seems like Chicago Office is doing something !!

Hi Lcl_Chi_wait,

Does INS Case Status Checking system reflects
about the Interview Scdedule ??

I too have case details similar to yours, hopefully
i should also hear something pretty soon.

All the Best,

Lcl_Chi_wait,

You mentioned that “we rcvd. call for interview”. What do you mean by that? You received a phone call or you received a letter in the mail about the interview? Please clarify.

We rcv'd letter of appt. but only for my wife not for me...its been 3 weeks since her letter, I am yet to get mine...i have no idea how her interview would be of use!

DID ANY OF YOU GET INTERVIEWS YET?

Not a single word.

This is the worst that could happen to us. I don't know the local suckers received my package from NSC. I don't have any way to contact them even though I left my message in their voice mail. At NSC, we at least have limited visibility.

BTW, one of my friend they applied citizenship in Chicago office back in Nov, 2002. They had interview couple of weeks ago and they become citizen after 5/21. That was freaking fast.

guys

my case was transferred to the local INS in chicago on05/09/2003. I just received the Transfer notice for my wife i-824. When I checked with the NSC they told me that my Renewal of the AP visa and my 485 were also transferred. the online message only shows that the 824 and Ap application were transferred. I'm really getting confused. They even sent me a notice to do a second FP on June 3, 2003. Any body has any idea of whats going on. The notice that I recieved states that the case was transfer in order to speed the process. Is this the normal message that you all got when your case were transferred. Or this is a special message because I filled a law suit against them and they really mean it to speed up the process. Im dying to know if they got the AP Applicaiton In Chicago already or not, because then I will go and Apply for an Emergency Visa to go see my sick dad. It has been 8 months and they still have not approved my Advance Parol Renewal.

Please Help with any thoughts that you might have, when we share our experienced with each other, we do learn alot about the crazy INS department. thanks
