Chennai CP Interview in Sep - for my mom

Hi,

My mother's CP interview is scheduled in September in Chennai. We submitted all original documents to NVC except passport.

Not very clear from chennai consulate what other documents we should carry for interview?

Can some please let me know what should we prepare for interview?
like what questions?
what kind of photos to carry to show the relation evidence?
Do they usually provide the translator for telugu etc?

Hi:
It seems there are very few CP cases for sponsoring parents. Most seem to go through I-130/I-485 Adjustment of Status while in the US.

I am sponsoring my mom for GC through CP.

There seems to be some confusion about sending original documents to NVC vs. sending copies and taking originals to the interview.

Were you asked to submit original documents by NVC?

Can you guys share your timelines ? I am in the same situation I-130 through CP for my mother and I want to share experience. I sent the application just this week.

did you have any trouble getting police clearance certificates from Chennai? Did you get from the Police Commissioner of your area and from the Passport office?

my god i am getting so jelouse that CSC its working on I130 so fast and myI130 is stuck at VCS hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well, since you sent your I-130 before becoming a US Citizen,m I can bet that they have not touched your file yet. Souses of permanent residents usually have to wait around 5 years for visa to become available so USCIS does not process these I-130 before visa becomes nearly available.
Now that you are a US Citizen and move to the upper category, you should expect your I-130 to be approved anytime soon.
