My husband is in removal proceedings for an illegitimate marriage 7 years ago (stupid mistake and poor advice from a well-meaning friend). We are currently waiting for his interview and court date regarding the hardship waiver he filed last year. We have a 1 year old together. He's a teacher in his current state as has the opportunity to move to a different state for a new position, but we may not have an answer on the waiver by the time he has to make the decision. Can he take the new position while in removal proceedings? Does he have or can he obtain a temporary status while waiting?
