I am currently on H1 visa, on bench and due to personal issues, am considering changing my status to H4. But before this i wanted to get a clearer picture of what I will up against. My current H1B validitiy date ends on Oct 2013 (I got my current H1B approved in Oct 2012, so I have not completed total of 6 years yet). To convert my visa to H4, I will have to apply for a Change of Status. However, if I were to get back to H1 again how easy will it be? What is the process? I am planning to get back from H4 to H1 again in May 2013. Will I be asked to produce pay stubs for the time I was on H1 previously? Anyone gone thru a smiliar scenario? Thanks a bunch in advance!!
