My friend’s change of status from visitor to student was successfully granted last week. Since confirmation latter and I-20 arrived after the registration deadline, international office at the school advised him to start attending school from summer semester starting in June by adding a remark in his I-20. They also mentioned that he will stay in status due to this documented remark. I wanted to confirm by placing this question to avoid any surprises. Please advise that he will be in status till June.
