Hello. My H-1B expires in September and my company filed a PERM application in April pending approval as well as an extension on the H1B. The PERM is expected to be approved (hopefully) by September after which they will file the I-140. Do I have any flexibility in changing companies at this time (or near future) without the risk of deportation? I hate my job and need to decide if its better to just go home to find more opportunities versus killing your career just to stay in the US.
