CANADIAN GETTING GREEN CARD

Im not sure if this has already been answered.

But my wife and I are currently living in Canada. I am a United States citizen my wife is Canadian citizen. I am currently in Canada on a permanent residence card. We have submitted an application for her green card. Is she allowed to go into the US while her application is in process or will it create conflict? must she stay in Canada until she gets the green card in her hand?

She can attempt to enter but suggest she carries proof to show it will only be a short term trip (for example ongoing job contract, home ownership/rental agreement etc). As long as she can show it will only be a temporary visit and that she will return to Canada to await her visa issuance she should be fine to visit.
