Can I live outside the US while my GC is processing?

I started my Green Card application process about 5 years ago. my priority date is 2005. Can I live outside the US while my GC is processing? Would I need to submit a notice of absence or change of address?
 
Talk to an attorney. I do not believe you need to live in the US, but if you are seeking permanent residency in the US, and you've never lived there for a reasonable period of time, it seems a little weird to me just in general... so I don't know what a USCIS officer would think reviewing your case.
 
Yes.
But your sponser must have strong evidence of job availability for you.
