can i change job after pp staming is done

Hello,
 Can i change the job.. i did my stamping on july 31st. still waiting for platic card.
Is it ok to change job...or i have to wait for more days

When you can change a job before PP stamping is done, why not after ?
 I guess you guys are the lucky ones to hold on to your previous jobs.

Advisable to wait at least 3 - 6 months

Based on my knowledge, the law is written in such a way that it is ok to change jobs if I-485 pending for 6 months or more, provided you keep a similar job. Once I-485 approved, this 180-day rule is irrelevant. If you change jobs, employer can challenge your intent to keep a permanent position at your current company. The more time you spend w/ your company after I-485 approval, the more difficult it becomes for your employer/INS to disprove your intent to keep a permanent position w/ your company.

After scouring a number of sites, including http://www.immihelp.com, http://www.immigration-law.com, I have seen lawyers recommend that one wait at least 3 - 6 months (on the aggressive side) to about a year (on the conservative side) before changing jobs.

My advice is that we all have waited as long as we have to get approval, why not wait an extra few months? Why jeapordize what we have waited patiently for so long?

Passport stamping

Approximately how many days from the RD(of I-485) does it take to get passport stamped?
