Bringing spouse to USA based on Proxy Marriage

Hi,

Is it possible to bring the spouse to USA based on a proxy marriage which is vaild for immigartion purposes in Dictrict of Columbia. This will help in case if there is no time for the primary benificary of I-485 to fly back home and get married before his I-485 gets approved. Any inputs guys?

Your marriage is valid as long as you have consumanted the marriage. While this cannot be "proven" you can prove it by visits after the proxy marriage has taken place.
