Birth Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship

After seeing a few threads on the N600 topic, I am curious whether there is any advantage of getting a certificate of citizenship for children born in US (between 1998 and 2003), having a US birth certificate and having a US passport. Will a certificate of citizenship provide any additional benefit?

There is primarily to avoid any issues for the kids 20 years down the line, rather than any imminent issue.
 
Certificates of citizenship is NOT issued to US born persons; it is only issued to those born overseas and deriving citizenship from parents or grandparents.
