I've applied for asylum in 2020
Got my fingerprints done
Still waiting for interview.
Couldn't get my ead due to the rule change. So I do not have a SSN
Just wondering if I can open a bank account anywhere.
If yes, which banks would let me get an account?
 
yes i was able to open bank account at both citibank and bank of america you would need two form of identification ex (passport and driver license ) and proof of address , also you will have to visit a branch you can't file online .. best of luck
 
I do have a passport and driver's license from my country. I also have a visa on my passport.
I have no identification here.
Would those work?

Easily,

They would simply check IDs from home country (This is how I opened my bank account even before applying for asylum on B1/B2 visa)
