Asylee petition help!!!

Hi guys,

Need help here. My mom file refugee asylee petition (I730) for me Aug 2006, at the NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER. And the case status is still "received and pending". I had the BIO Aug 2007, and as of today, I still didnt receive any update on the case status site, nor any letter from USCIS. I did call the customer service to request information a month or so back, they sent me a letter stating the security check on my background hasnt been finished yet. What can I do now? Can I request them to transfer my case to other service center?
 
I believe that all you can do now is wait. I read on this board that you could try to expedite your case by lobbying through your congress person. However, I am not sure if you are in a position when this will help.
 
when u check ur case status online,when does it say that the case status was last updated.is it before ur bio was done or after it.
