Couple of questions for the Gurus:

Currently my I-485 has been filed for a year now ...

1. Is it mandatory to have the job in the same state/ area ?

2. Let's say, I switched jobs (b'cause of involuntary termination), and got a job in different state, but my spouse is still living at the original address and am still getting all my mail at the old address (implying am maintaining my old resi.). In such situation should one file form AR-11 ??

3. Is it possible to get a uplicate I-485 receipt notice from BCIS ?

Any response, much appreciated..

1. U can work anywhere as long as the job duties/responsibilities are close to what is described in LC.

2. I think as long as U stay in a hotel/friend etc without taking an apartment then it is OK. You need to file AR-11 if you take up a new apartment(despite continuing to maintain the old apt).

3. Take a copy from the attorney. He should be having it.Why do you need a duplicate 485 notice?
