Approved.

Sunny27,

The response for your inquiry seems to me that your NC had been cleared.

Once your PD becomes current, you should either see approvals or RFEs as does my case.

Good luck.

Infopass answer

we recently made an infopass appt to enquire about the I 485 case status, PD is not current though.
We found that our FBI clearance is done. The lady said that since they are processing june 05 cases we will have to wait.
Our files appear to be intact and not lost.
The lady wasn't sure of any answers though and would always go inside to "DOUBLE CHECK".
I just hope that what she said is true.

FP2 after second enquiry

FiveIce,

I wish that my NC was cleared. I had recieved 2nd FP ( Code1) immediately (after 2 days ) after my second enquiry as stated above.

Question for fiveice

Hey Fiveice, I was just wondering what picture did they put on your GC? Was it the one you submitted with your I485 application or was it the one they took during biometrics?

sunny27, I believe your NC is cleared. Over the years dealing with immigration issues, I found out that contrary to most of people's impression the INS (now USCIS) is quite accurate on their information release. So just wait for your approval and share with us if good news comes up.

caveatemperor,

Honestly I am not sure which one. I don't remember what pictures I submitted when filing application. You know, they are just 1-hour photos.

However, it seems to me they are the ones I submitted when filing application after looking at my card carefully.

So it seems that they use your pictures you submitted and build into card your biometrics information when you do your FP.

Could you please share how can you request Congressman/Senator about your I 485 pending?

Please if you could share us a letter that you sent to them. My I 485 is also pending been a long time I need to know what kind of information I need to put in a letter.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Well, I didn't ask for help from any congressmen.

You may want to specify whom you want to ask your question to. :)

Infopass

I had my Infopass interview today to determine my case status. Unfortunately the officer just told me that the case is still not approved, he would not know if its due to name check. When my lawyer checked the last time in Sep before retrogression, he found that my case was stuck in name check. I'm not sure if its still stuck in name check or if the case was not even opened at the time I went for the interview. My case became current in April and I had the interview at 7:45 AM today. Who knows... This sucks...

Hi SanIndia
Did u find the infopass helpful?
Which area was this?
I live in seattle and my PD are current from April.I was just checking to see whats the best way to find out whether my namechack is cleared.
I was wondering how helpful the officers in Seattle office are.

Thanks
Pinkie123

How can one get info pass? Can I get info pass just to inquire about my I-485 status?

Please Help?

Cheers,

IJ

Infopass appointment is available on the USCIS website. You need to have your A # and receipt # for scheduling an appointment. You can get an appointment within at most 10 days.
Personally, I found the Infopass meeting useless. The immigration officer told me nothing new. To a specific question about name check he just said that he does not have that information and that I should write to the service center to get specific information. I had a question about my fingerprint status not been updated on the USCIS status website, and he said I will be informed when USCIS need anything and I should not worry about it.
I have read other postings in which Infopass has provided detailed case status including name checks and has also intitiated name checks. I think it just depends on the officer and which state/city the office is in. I had been to the one in Minneapolis area.

ljaffery,

It is better to talk to congressman / senator than write.
You can get their phone numbers from their websites. You can search on google for a specific senator or congressman.

On their website there will be the phone number.
Once you call the number, ask for the person who handles immigration.
Once you get a hold of that person, tell them about your situation and they will help you.
