Hi Guys

I got approval for my I-485 also. First they approved my I-140 and then I-485.

Thanks to Great Man Rajiv and many active members from forum.

RD 3/12/2004
Fingerprint 5/2/03 (FYI, I have done fingerprint from San Jose, CA but my residence is in Seattle, WA)
RFE for I-140 5/28/04 (Education evaluation)
RFE Response 6/6/04
Approval I-140 July 10
Approval I-485 July 12

For I-140 my lawyer sent 2 request for status and then they sent RFE for Education evaluation. Fingerprint was done at different location because I was working at client location in San Jose.



Now question :

1. What do we need to do for stamping ?. Can I take printout from USCIS website and go to San Jose office for stamping ?.

2. Do I need to go to my district office for stamping or I can try @ San Jose, CA. My residence and base office is Seattle, WA.

3. When we get approval notice, do they schedule stamping or we can walk any day with receipt ?

4. My passport is going to expiry on May 2005. Should I renewal my passport and then do stamping or should I get stamping first ?

I think, if your RD was 2001 or 2002 you would have received more help!

Also, one thread is more than enough for a request. Be modest!

On a more positive note, your questions are very easy. Just dig around in this forum and you will find all the answers.
