Project Kashmir is planning to provide CSV data of status summary per month, which I have posted in plain text twice.

Out of curiosity

I see always pending cases from August . Does it mean that all cases filed before 7/31/2001 are approved?

Why FIFO is good

If they do 1000 per month then Dec 02 cases would all be
approved by the end of May. Then two months later Jan 02
cases would be all approved. etc

This would be good because you could predict with some
certainty provided conditions did not change, when one might
be approved.

By scattering the 862 approvals over such a great distance
no-one knows what might happen and the JIT is pointless.

We really don't understood what is the importance of JIT any more. Following are the approvals for the year 2003 as of 04/25 and we are still seeing plenty of approvals for 2003. May be now the focus of CSC is shifting to Number of Approvals in a month rather than moving JIT. In that case all FEB / March 2002ers are in for a very long wait.

I hope you are WRONG! :( If INS dumps FIFO, then we are all in for a VERY long wait excluding the lucky few who make it through the door.

The new statistics are extremely depressing. They haven't hit the 1000 mark, and the way they are processing all over the table, it makes it very hard to predict time frames.

The JIT as such will always be useful in terms of sending fax inquiries and getting some attention on your case if the dates move.
