Make a note that only for 6 months data is scannned for the year 2004

No more reports from you, since Kashmir projects are on hold.

How sad, Indie, are you happy atleast

shreya.

You can't blame someone for being stupid

The fact is that the boy's threat was empty. There is no use of
private information involved here.

For example a doctor might write a paper in which he says 2
out of 30 cases in which he performed a vasectomy resulted
in pregnancies.

Someone might realize that this is their doctor and that not only
did he perform their vasectomy but it resulted in a pregnancy.
Because it is statistics it is non-personal and therefore not a use
of someones private data.

USCIS lawyers would have probably worked for months on this
privacy policy before deciding what info to make accessible. If
for some reason they did not do this and there policy was wrong,
all Indie would have accomplished is forcing USCIS to withdraw
the service.

Another example is the census. These statistics use peoples
information and then publish all kinds of figures. It is understood
that even though the raw data contains the personal info of
millions of people that the publication of the stats in no way
violates anybodies privacy. And this is an even more extreme
case because none of the raw data is not publicly accessible.
USCIS meets this criteria in that the numbers and status changes
in no way carry personal info and they themselves publish stats
from time to time. (Though Kashmir's stats are far more useful.)

Sorry to join in but I'm on a training course in Silicon Valley and
I hardly get to surf these days.

reality sucks, JIT doesn't mean anything

They only got 2000 cases for one month; and it was said a while back that there are 10 worker bees working in this department, which comes down to 200+ working days per month (10 worker x 20 days=200 days). So in order for them to move JIT forward one month (really moving, finish ALL cases of the month), one worker just need to review 10 cases a day; and how long would it take to review a 2 page form and 20 pages or so supporting doc exactly?!

And please don't give us the crap of BCIS check, it take less than 20 minutes and after name is entered computers are doing it.

From where I sit somebody really could use some process improvement. Don't they think they themselves will benefit from the improvement too? At least there won't be the constant criticism. No matter what excuse they use, the fact remains they are not doing their job.

Would it do some good to request local politician to pressure the CSC to improve their efficiency and effectness?

Anyone know how to read this numbers?

First column is the total, second column is approved, the third .....forth..fifth.??

Thanks.

Each of the columns are as mentioned :
Total | 30-Apr | 2-May | 16-May | Cases approved

You know what total means. I guess 2nd, 3rd, 4th columns are cases approved by those dates. Looks like "cases approved" is the diff of 4th and 3rd column.

For row information, look at earlier posts of longwait.

hi guys,
