Applying to greencard with two passports (old with a work visa in it, and new)

Hi everyone,

So I'm in process of applying for green card and have two passports in my possession. One is an old one with a work visa, and a new one. Both passports are not expired, the 2nd was issued because of a name change after marriage.

I've entered US couple weeks ago from my work trip with both of my passports. I presented both of the passports to the officer. The officer stamp with the expiration date is in my new passport. But the I-94 that i just pulled from the website, states my old passport number with my visa kind (E1).

So my question, under "Recent Immigration History" do I enter my old passport number with the Visa in it and the recent i-94. Or do i enter my new passport number?

The reason I'm confused, is that I-94 has my old passport number, but technically I entered with my new passport...

As I've mentioned above, both passports are not expired. so I guess i can technically use my old number just to keep everything concise?

Thanks in advance!!!
