I am on LPR since April 2013...By April 2018 it will be 5 yrs...

During the last 4 yrs I have been travelling in and out country .
All my stays out of country are less than 180 days(around 170-175 days)..

With my current job(remote work) I have the option of settling down in any state.

I am thinking of settle down in Raliegh,NC or Newark, NJ or NY( open to other states) and apply for citizen ship...

Are there any benefits to applying from a particular geography given the current environment? Like anyone applying, I would want to maximize my chances.

And secondly does the 4year+1 rule apply to me..

NJ office used to be faster. My whole process was done in 4.5 months from mailing app to Oath.

But it seems like USCIS has really really slowed down in 2017 for all offices.

So, please be smart choose a location based on where you can have the best quality of life. Youll save a lot of money in NC.
