I hoping someone can answer my question regarding filing for a GC. Im currently married to a US citizen but I was out of status since March 16, 2002.
Is it still possible for me to file for a GC even if I was out of status? Do I also need to apply concurrently the adjustment of status/petition for the alien relative/affidavit of support/employment authorization? Do I need to pay for the fingerprinter when I file for those forms?
Someone told me that INS now is not allowing an alien relative to file an adjustment of status if that alien was out of status before he/she married a US citizen. How true?
