Hi everyone,
I like to know if anyone is sponsored by a university for the green card in EB2 category. I mean a university applied for you to get a labor certification. What are the chances getting labor certification approved if you work for a university or if you work for a company ? Does it make any difference ? Which one is better ?
I am currently working in a university as a research specialist and have an MS degree from the same university. The university is willing to sponsor me for green card.
Another question is that how long is the whole process from the beginning till the end?
Any answer will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys and good luck to all of you

I know..

a friend of mine who got his GC with the university just like you..Its the best option now..go ahead..as for as the time, depends on which city/state you are in..Ask your Usty if they can do the labor in RIR....

Do I need a private lawyer or .... ??

Thank you siva,
They told me that they can do RIR. I guess RIR is faster than the regular.
Another question is that is it better to hire a private lawyer or just let the university people handle the case ? Which one is better?
The university\'s office for international scholars and students department does the GC applications. Good thing about this that they do not charge a lots of money to do it but how reliable they are compared to a private lawyers? The GC application is a very long process and time is so important.
