EB2/RIR/APR 25 2003/NEW JERSEY

I need to take a decision based on to stay or "To go"

Short answer is GO.
Long answer : You can try PERM. Your labor may take 2+ years to clear and give another 2 years for 140, bythen EB2 will retrogess, give another 3 years for 485. You are looking at 7+ years.

To stay or to go depneds on individual's circumstances.
But I do not agree with "metaman"

If they start proceesing at the BECs this summer which they have to start some day anyway, then you can expect your approval sometime in 1st half of 2006 because you are EB-2 and your priority date is early 2003.

The 140/485 processing time in Vermont center are very good. Around 4-6 months for 140 and around 1 year for 485. And if you file cucurrent then you can expect to be a free bird in 2nd half of 2006 which is around 1 year from now. According to me that is not at all bad.

And by the way EB-2 is not likley to retrogress till Q-2 of 2006 as per the prediction by DOS.
