Hi,

My sponsor didn't meet the financial requirements last year by 1000$, he only worked 3 months out of 2014.....My question is the following: since last year taxes he was below the minimum requirement by 1000$ in order to fill out 864-A, he makes more than 90K per year....can he still be the household member and fill out 864-a for me?

Well, first of all, it's current (i.e. right now) income that counts, not income in any period in the past. What his cumulative income in 2014 is is not very relevant.

Also, a sponsor doesn't fill out I-864A; a sponsor fills out I-864. The requirement is on the household income of the sponsor. An I-864A is for a household member of a sponsor to have their income be counted in the sponsor's household income on the sponsor's I-864. There is no requirement on the income of the household member specifically.
