Advanced parole -length of time for approval?

How long does it take to get an Advanced Parole after filing for it? Can I travel with just the receipt for it?
It take from 1 week to more than 1 year. You can not come back to US with the receipt unless you have valid H or L status with valid H or L stamp

----------------------------------if you want to enter US with AP then AP need to be filed when you are in US and need to be approved BEFORE you go out of US
