Address to receive the GC

My family and I received our DV visas and we going to land in the US next week. We currently have no permanent address there and we are planning to spend only a week in the US then go back home to settle down some stuff. I already have what you can call a virtual address in the US at which I can receive mails on it then it become automatically forwarded to my address in my home country. Can I use this address to receive our GCs on it?
 
No. I do not think so. Virtual address = PO BOX?

Do you trust the forwarding would not screw things up?

I've had a bad experience of using and address that i cannot access -and due to that, i lost my green card (missing in action) and now, as a repercussion, i have to re-apply for a replacement card = USD540 per card!!!

No relatives, friends etc in the USA that can help you with this?
