i have searched forum, and I couldn't find any post related to my situation.
I have completed my Msc. at U.S. in 2011 and directly returned back to my country. During my Msc. degree I was issued a J1 visa, to complete my 2 year residency rule, i lived in my country for 3 years. Now i have accepted for Phd degree at the same department and i can get my F1 visa in May, however my PhD. is without financial aid, so i have to pay for the tuition and all living expenses.
My question is if i quit my Phd after 1 or 2 semester, can i get OPT for working in U.S,and continue working in company? is there any problem or legal issues with this situation ?
