My Perm filed date 29/Sep/2009 and in Pending status (current in audit)
My H1 expiry was on 26/Jun/2010
Applied extension on 1/Jun/2010 and got approval notice email on 5/Nov/2010.
Just received the I797 petition today and noticed that it is only approved until 5/Oct/2010 (exact 6 years) which is past date; instead of 5/Oct/2011. Looks like, they have not considered my pending perm status.
Very much worried, pls see if you can help on these questions
1. Am I eligible to apply for another extension now?
2. Will I be considered in illegal status (as I dont have the approval neither I have applied for extension yet)
3. Why would USCIS provide extension approval only until for a past date? Will it be a mistake from USCIS end?
4.What should be my next steps?
