My 485 was applied in 2007 and my I140 was approved way before that. I got my ead in 2007. I am just waiting for my 485 date to get current.
I have been working with my EAD since a long time and I switched employers twice using AC-21 and so far have been working on W2 with all those employers where are in charge of deducting the taxes from my paycheck.
Now I have found another job which I want to switch to since my previous project is nearing completion. However the new employer is willing to take me on 1099 (not W2 unlike my previous employers). I like this job profile. So can I switch to the new employer on 1099 ? Would that cause any problems when my 485 date becomes current and USCIS starts processing my 485 ? Would they raise any RFE ?
Anybody with any insight or experience in this area kindly clarify.
