2nd 140 ... to continue or withdraw?

My previous employer got 140 approved with PD of 2002 and filed 485 in 2007.

The current employer got the labor approved with PD of 2007 and filed 140 in Jan'08, which is still in process.

Now I heard from my friends that some times USCIS links our 485 with the latest 140 (PD 2007) instead of old 140 (PD 2002), and it takes hell lot of time and money to get it corrected.

Now shall I ask current employer to withdraw the 140 or shall I continue with it?

I would ask my lawyer to interfile the approved I-140 with the pending I-485 application with a request to withdraw the pending I-140. Can anyone endorse this?

----------------that is not correct, your I-140 that got approved with previous employer has PD of 2002 and your I-485 file has that I-140 with PD of 2002 and I-485 can be approved with I-140 PD of 2002

YOU cant withdraw any I-140 only employer can do that and I dont understand why you or new employer need to withdraw the pending I-140??

Are you planning to apply the second I485? If you are applying it your attorney has take care of the Priority date porting. If you are not pllaning apply second I485 I will not worry Nothing of that sort happens.
