2013 April N-400 Tracker

can you simply post the interview experiences & their questions?

Was very smooth. Office called me 15 min after my scheduled time. Went quickly through the N-400 and made the additions I mentioned and then started the test.

Had six very simple civics questions. Writing and reading was really stupid, for both "We pay taxes". Approved after 15 min.

Thought I posted the questions before, not sure anymore but I think I had questions 8, 13, 31, 36 and 55

Finally after I sent a letter to 26 Federal Plaza last week a nice woman called today and scheduled oath ceremony for my spouse 11/1 :) She was very polite and immediately mentioned that she is aware of my wife's company travel and is scheduling it after she is back.

*edit*
And her status changed to "we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location".

So my conclusion is, writing a nice letter to the field office can move things!

Now I found my posting what civics questions they asked:

1. What does the Presidents cabinet?
2. How many judges are on the supreme court?
3. What does the declaration of independence mean?
4. For how long do we elect Senators?
5. Who becomes president when both Pres. and Vice Pres. can no longer serve?
6. What are two cabinet level positions?

Yeah, finally I'm done with all the crap!

We have finished processing your passport, and it has been mailed to you using Priority Mail.

My interview was very easy. Officer called me in; then he ask me to write "President Lives in White House." And he asked me to read "White House is in Washington D.C." sentence. He went through with Civics test, which are 53, 95, 70, 43, 98, 100. And later he ask for verification of phone number and house address, and birth certificate :) And he congratulated me for passing the interview.

On November 4th 2013 I got online status change to Oath as described below:

Application Type: N400 , APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION
Your Case Status: Oath Ceremony
On November 4, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

So now I am waiting for my Oath Ceremony notice letter. There seems to be no way of finding out when the Oath ceremonies for Salt lake City get scheduled.

Naturalization Oath Ceremony letter arrived today stating Oath date of 9th December 2013 in Salt Lake City.
So my N-400
application took 7 months and 27 days to process. The USCIS website says average 5.8 months.
I am looking forward to getting my passport and being done with this process which has taken over 6 years. Phew!

11/26/13 Interview approved, but yet another glitch, could not read fingerprints, had to go to sheriff's to get document stating I have no arrest record. said lot's of people have finger print problems. Anyway, moving on to oath.
